Praktika, a Ukrainian armored-vehicle manufacturer, has formalized a partnership with Spain’s Tecnove and Escribano Mechanical & Engineering under a new MoU to co-produce armored vehicles in Spain.
The program spans multi-role armored vehicles, fire-support variants, medical and command vehicles, electronic-warfare platforms, and specialized non-military armored systems for demining operations and safe explosives transport.
The initiative is the first co-production project involving Praktika and the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine with Spanish partners operating within the European Union.
The agreement intends to combine industrial expertise and pursue joint development and production of armored vehicles in Spain targeting markets across the EU, Ukraine, and international partners.
Manufacturing will be based at a newly established 25,000-sqm industrial site in Herencia, Madrid, owned by Tecnove and dedicated to defense-sector production.
The facility will assemble large-unit armored and specialized vehicles using parts supplied from Praktika’s Ukrainian plants, with completed platforms destined for Spanish forces and Ukrainian frontline needs.
For Ukraine, the collaboration integrates its battlefield-tested technologies into European defense supply frameworks, boosts armored-vehicle mass production while preserving national competencies, and enhances private-sector participation in EU and NATO programs.
