Sikorsky Aircraft and Robinson Helicopter Company have unveiled the Robinson R66 TURBINETRUCK, an autonomous helicopter designed to reshape military and commercial cargo resupply operations.
Built with a flexible modular design, the aircraft allows users to update mission software and adapt the platform for various tasks, incorporating advanced technologies originally developed for the Sikorsky S-70 U-Hawk.
The absence of a traditional cockpit enables a larger cargo compartment, complemented by a reinforced cargo floor and a front-mounted clamshell door that speeds up palletized loading and unloading during logistics missions.
