Rafael Advanced Defense Systems has introduced the Iron Beam 450 at DSEI 2025, calling it its most powerful laser-based air defense system to date.
According to Rafael, the system offers improved range, faster response times, and greater cost efficiency compared to earlier versions.
The 450 takes its name from its 450-millimeter aperture, a significant upgrade over previous models while retaining a compact design. It was unveiled alongside the Iron Beam-M and Lite Beam, with a unique mounting gimbal distinguishing it within the company’s product range.
