QinetiQ and Forcys have formed a strategic collaboration to advance Australia’s maritime security by enhancing the testing and validation of submarines, autonomous vessels, and underwater systems. Through an MoU, the companies will integrate QinetiQ’s specialist test and evaluation capabilities with Forcys’ cutting-edge underwater sensing and communication solutions. The initiative includes developing deployable underwater ranges for realistic capability trials, supporting accelerated adoption of autonomous maritime platforms and real-time sensor networks across the Australian Defence Force. The partnership aligns with the nation’s Defence Strategic Review and AUKUS Pillar 2 goals to strengthen sovereign capability and interoperability amid rising undersea challenges.
