FlyFocus, a Poland-based developer of drones and avionics systems, has raised 4.5 million euros ($5.3 million) in its inaugural institutional investment round.
Supported by Polish public and private venture capital funds, the financing will partly fund construction of a new production facility in Poland, expected to become operational in late 2026.
In parallel, the company plans to scale up exports and continue R&D efforts, including the debut of two new unmanned platforms before the end of the year.
The funding follows eight years of self-financed development, a period during which FlyFocus transitioned from research initiatives to full-scale production and secured direct military procurement contracts in Poland.
European-Centric Manufacturing
Central to FlyFocus’ strategy is its commitment to a “Made in Europe” supply chain. The company notes that many European drone manufacturers depend on components sourced outside the region, particularly from China.
To counter this trend, FlyFocus relies solely on suppliers from NATO-aligned nations, aiming to strengthen supply security, ensure transparency, and align with European defense acquisition policies.
Systems and Capabilities
The firm’s portfolio covers ISR drones, loitering strike platforms, and counter-UAS technologies.
Polaris is a lightweight, backpack-portable fixed-wing ISR system weighing 4.5 kilograms and offering endurance of up to 4.5 hours for single-operator missions.
Striker is designed as a long-range loitering platform with a range beyond 1,000 kilometers and a payload capacity of up to 40 kilograms, tailored for use in electronically contested environments.
FlyFocus also produces CableGuard, a tethered drone system delivering continuous aerial monitoring and currently deployed with governmental and institutional customers.
