German defense firm Rheinmetall has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Poland’s state-owned arms conglomerate Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ) to jointly produce advanced military support vehicles for the Polish Armed Forces.
The agreement establishes a joint venture called the European Support Vehicles Center, which will focus on developing and manufacturing armored recovery, mine-clearing, and bridge-laying vehicles.
Rheinmetall, known for its Keiler NG mine-clearing vehicle and other armored systems, already maintains operations in Poland through its Warsaw-based subsidiary. Meanwhile, PGZ manages a broad share of the nation’s defense manufacturing through its extensive network of state-run defense enterprises.
