Finnish companies Patria and Valmet Automotive have formalized cooperation to transfer production technologies and begin manufacturing Patria armored vehicles domestically. Initial builds will start at Valmet’s Uusikaupunki plant in late 2026. The partnership arrives during strong European demand for Patria platforms, including Sweden’s expansion to 415 total vehicles, Latvia’s locally produced 6×6 deliveries to Ukraine, and Denmark’s decision to procure 129 CAVS vehicles. The arrangement strengthens Finland’s industrial participation while helping Patria scale output across multiple European programs.
