Oshkosh Defense has introduced its Family of Multi-Mission Autonomous Vehicles (FMAV) during the Association of the US Army (AUSA) Annual Meeting and Exposition in Washington, D.C.

The FMAV lineup—comprising the Extreme (X-MAV), Medium (M-MAV), and Light (L-MAV) variants—advances the US Army’s modernization agenda by enhancing long-range strike, coordination, and autonomous mission capabilities.

Mission-Ready Designs
The X-MAV, built for long-range missile launches, was showcased carrying four Tomahawk Land Attack Missiles. Featuring a robust chassis, onboard power, and superior off-road performance, it underpins the Army’s Common Autonomous Multi-Domain Launcher (CAMDL) Heavy initiative.

The M-MAV, derived from the FMTV A2, supports both manned and unmanned launcher roles with automated resupply and remote operation systems, improving survivability and reducing crew demand. It is displayed with MLRS Family of Munitions.

The L-MAV, adapted from the Marine Corps’ ROGUE Fires, is a modular autonomous carrier suited for counter-UAS, EW, or resupply missions. Demonstrated with Switchblade 600 and Titan anti-drone systems, it underscores Oshkosh’s flexible, mission-driven engineering.

Oshkosh noted that the FMAV family highlights the adaptability of its proven vehicle platforms, rapidly integrating new mission payloads and autonomy systems to meet evolving battlefield needs.
