Northrop Grumman Wins $180M Contract to Advance Mission Planning for US Military
Northrop Grumman has secured a $180 million contract to develop next-generation mission planning systems for the US Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps, aiming to boost decision-making speed and effectiveness across multiple domains.
The initiative will harness automation and advanced data analytics to help forces plan missions, evaluate risks, and adapt to dynamic threats in real time. A significant portion of the funding—$115 million—is allocated to the Air Force for a next-gen global strike mission planning platform under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center.
The system will deliver real-time threat intelligence and situational awareness to support faster, more precise operational decisions in high-stakes environments.
