The US Navy has unveiled a strategy to “weaponize” data and artificial intelligence, aiming to transform raw sensor inputs into operational tactics, technology upgrades, and software updates at a pace aligned with modern warfare.

According to Stuart Wagner, the service’s chief digital and AI officer, the initiative seeks to eliminate bottlenecks that slow the movement of data between ships, aircraft, drones, analysts, and developers, ensuring faster delivery back to frontline operations.
