Core Systems has partnered with Lockheed Martin in support of its bid for the Golden Dome missile defense initiative, a U.S. program designed to counter sophisticated aerial threats.
Under the collaboration, the California-based company will provide ruggedized rack infrastructure for the Long Range Discrimination Radar (LRDR), a key element of the proposed system.
The LRDR will work alongside Lockheed’s TPY-6 and Sentinel A4 radars to deliver early threat detection and real-time targeting of ballistic and hypersonic weapons.
