L3Harris has ramped up large-scale production of its VAMPIRE counter-UxS system at its Huntsville, Alabama, manufacturing site.
The VAMPIRE system (Vehicle Agnostic Modular Palletized ISR Rocket Equipment) is designed with a modular, plug-and-play configuration, enabling deployment across multiple platforms to detect and neutralize aerial threats.
Its new production line features a versatile assembly and testing environment, allowing seamless integration into ground vehicles and containerized systems to keep pace with increasing global demand for counter-drone technologies.
Adaptable C-UxS Platform
The United States first ordered 14 VAMPIRE systems for delivery to Ukraine in 2023, followed by additional procurement in 2025 to bolster European deployments.
In 2025, the system expanded into several configurations spanning land, naval, air, and electronic warfare domains, while also introducing AI- and machine learning-driven sensor enhancements.
VAMPIRE was also mounted on GM Defense’s Infantry Squad Vehicle during the same period.
More recently, the system demonstrated its versatility by firing Thales FZ275 70mm laser-guided rockets at ground targets, underlining its capability to quickly integrate new weapons for evolving mission needs.
