Kosovo has unveiled plans to invest more than €1 billion ($1.1 billion) in its Security Force (KSF), with priorities including the development of indigenous drones and the expansion of overall military strength, according to Kosovo Online.

Prime Minister announced that the initiative will establish “Made in Kosovo” drones and reactivate the country’s ammunition factory. A joint military unit with the Albanian Armed Forces is also planned.

The program seeks to deepen cooperation with NATO member states through new equipment acquisitions, training, and education, both locally and at leading international military academies.

Recruitment efforts will continue, with a goal of enrolling 1,000 women cadets into the KSF. Additionally, a nationwide protection program will be launched to train and arm voluntary reservists who could be mobilized in times of need.
