Larsen & Toubro (L&T), India’s industrial powerhouse, has teamed up with state-owned Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) to pursue production of the country’s next-generation fighter aircraft. L&T will contribute its aerospace platform capabilities, while BEL brings its defense electronics expertise, as the joint venture positions itself for a fifth-generation jet contract. Under India’s Advanced Multirole Combat Aircraft (AMCA) programme, the consortium plans to respond shortly to an Expression of Interest from the Aeronautical Development Agency (ADA).
