Nibe and Elbit Partner to Manufacture PULS Rocket Launcher System in India

India’s Nibe Limited has signed an agreement with Israel’s Elbit Systems to locally manufacture the Precise and Universal Launching System (PULS) multiple rocket launcher (MRL) in India. The deal includes technology transfer and covers production for both domestic use and export markets.

This marks the first instance of an international MRL system being manufactured in India, a significant step that boosts the country’s indigenous defense manufacturing capabilities and positions it as a potential global exporter of advanced rocket artillery systems.

The PULS offers superior performance compared to India’s indigenously developed Pinaka system. While the Pinaka Mk 1 and Mk 2 variants reach ranges of 37.5 km and 60 km, with future versions extending up to 300 km, the PULS system already supports a broad spectrum of munitions—from 122mm to 306mm rockets—and can fire tactical ballistic missiles like the Predator Hawk with a 300 km range.

Its modular architecture allows integration on various platforms, including 4×4, 6×6, and 8×8 wheeled or tracked vehicles, and it supports custom fire-control systems, enabling seamless compatibility with different national command networks.
