India is moving forward with Project KAL, a long-range loitering strike drone designed to expand the country’s ability to hit strategic targets far beyond its borders.
The system, developed by IG Defence, is reported to deliver a 1,000-kilometer (620-mile) operational reach and three to five hours of endurance, enabling sustained operations in contested airspace.
Designed as a one-way attack platform, the drone can carry explosive payloads to engage high-value objectives such as supply hubs, radar stations, and key military facilities.
