India has begun construction of its first AI-powered Next Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel (NGOPV), designed to enhance maritime surveillance and mission flexibility across its exclusive economic zone. The 117-meter vessel will support multi-role operations with a crew of up to 121 and a 5,000-nautical-mile range.
