Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) in the US has introduced ROMULUS, a new line of unmanned surface vessels (USVs) powered by its Odyssey Autonomous Control System.

Leading the series is the 190-foot (58-meter) ROMULUS 190, currently being built in partnership with Breaux Brothers, Beier Integrated Systems, and Incat Crowther.

Constructed on a commercial-standard hull optimized for serial production, the vessel will reach speeds of over 25 knots (46 km/29 mph), cover more than 2,500 nautical miles (4,630 km), and accommodate four 40-foot (12-meter) ISO containers.
