German drone manufacturer Quantum Systems and Ukraine’s Frontline Robotics have announced a €100-million joint venture to mass-produce UAVs for the Ukrainian military. Operating from southern Germany, the new entity—Quantum Frontline Industries—aims to build 10,000 battlefield-proven drones annually using a fully automated production line. Quantum Systems will provide industrial infrastructure, while Frontline Robotics contributes combat-tested designs and training. The initiative aligns with Berlin’s broader strategy to deepen defense cooperation with Ukraine and strengthen Europe’s industrial base amid ongoing conflict.
