Italian defense and maritime group Fincantieri has launched DEEP, an innovative underwater drone system engineered to defend seabed infrastructure and enhance situational awareness in coastal waters and ports.
Billed as the company’s first integrated underwater drone system, DEEP supports both military and civilian operations, including environmental monitoring and deep-water reconnaissance.
The solution integrates a network of underwater sensors for early threat detection, a command-and-control module for live data transmission, and a fleet of autonomous underwater drones.
