Israeli defense company Elbit Systems has secured a $1.6-billion contract to supply a European nation with a broad range of advanced defense systems over the next five years.
The deal includes two primary categories of technology built on Elbit’s latest innovations, many enhanced with embedded AI.
The first package features long-range precision artillery and rocket systems, as well as unmanned aerial platforms ranging from small tactical drones to larger loitering munitions for surveillance, reconnaissance, and strike missions.
The second package encompasses electronic warfare tools, SIGINT and COMINT systems, modern intelligence collection and processing technologies, electro-optical and night-vision gear, and upgrades for combat vehicles and protection systems.
Additionally, Elbit will deliver a digital combat network to connect headquarters, frontline forces, and individual vehicles using its proprietary C4ISR technology, enabling real-time intelligence sharing and coordination.
Elbit CEO Bezhalel Machlis said the award reflects growing European demand for integrated, multi-domain solutions tailored to modern defense requirements.
