Taiwan has revealed its newest anti-ballistic missile system, known as Strong Bow, built to intercept high-altitude cruise munitions.

It marks the country’s first domestically produced surface-to-air missile featuring an active electronically scanned array (AESA) fire control system, enabling it to track and engage multiple targets at once with greater precision.

The Strong Bow is capable of striking mid-altitude ballistic threats up to 70 kilometers (43.5 miles), forming part of a layered air defense network alongside indigenous systems such as the Sky Bow III, which defends against lower-altitude threats.
