Brazil is adopting a new laser-guided missile, the MAX 1.2 AC, as a precision direct-fire weapon for countering tanks and modern armored systems. Developed by SIATT, part of EDGE Group, the missile follows a laser-designated trajectory within line of sight, allowing infantry units to accurately engage high-value ground targets. The missile’s baseline range extends to 3.2 kilometers (2 miles), with potential for increased reach when integrated with platforms such as the Cascavel NG armored vehicle.
