Belrise Industries, headquartered in Pune, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Israeli defense firm Plasan Sasa to manufacture electric unmanned ground vehicle components in India, strengthening indigenous capabilities in autonomous military mobility.

The partnership is focused on localizing and adapting Plasan’s All-Terrain Electric Mission Module (ATEMM) for Indian military requirements. ATEMM is a 2×2 electric-powered unmanned ground platform engineered to deliver improved mobility, enhanced survivability, and increased onboard power and payload capacity across challenging operational environments.

The two-meter-long system can function either as a self-contained vehicle or as a modular trailer, producing up to 50 kWh of electrical power to support other platforms or mission equipment. By combining multiple modules, the system can be configured into full-electric 4×4 or 8×8 vehicles, offering power output equivalent to 800 horsepower and payload capacities of more than 2,000 kg.

The collaboration follows a broader partnership framework signed by the two companies in late December, aimed at supporting defense manufacturing and industrial growth in India. As part of the agreement, Plasan will provide technical expertise in armor systems, vehicle survivability, and advanced defense automotive technologies, while enabling technology transfer and localized production in line with India’s defense industrial policies.

Belrise contributes its established capabilities in automotive engineering, including chassis and suspension systems for two-wheelers, passenger cars, and commercial vehicles. Plasan complements this with its global experience in developing vehicle protection, survivability solutions, and integrated defense systems for military customers worldwide.
