Kongsberg has launched the ARVAKER I microsatellite to support maritime surveillance under a five-year contract with the Norwegian Armed Forces. Deployed via SpaceX’s Transporter-13 mission from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the satellite successfully established two-way communication with Kongsberg NanoAvionics’ mission control. It will aid in monitoring illegal fishing, smuggling, environmental offenses, and other maritime threats.
