Shift Coastal Technologies’ OceanSled Explorer unmanned surface vehicle is designed to push autonomous maritime operations into high-risk littoral zones.
At 3.6 meters long and weighing 280 kilograms, the USV can support payloads of up to 454 kilograms, offering substantial capacity for a compact platform.
The system is powered by up to three rechargeable battery units and is engineered to perform reliably in temperatures reaching 40°C.
Built for coastal versatility, the Explorer operates effectively in surf zones, estuaries, and riverine environments, reaching a maximum speed of 6 knots while retaining maneuverability in confined and complex waters.
Outfitted with advanced sensors, live data links, and two-way voice communication, the USV delivers continuous situational awareness and real-time monitoring in littoral areas.
The platform supports a wide range of missions, including ISR, maritime and port security, asset inspection, and sonar survey operations.
It also enables digital twin generation, high-resolution imagery collection, and logistical support between vessels and shore facilities in both secure and non-secure environments.
Thanks to its modular payload design, the OceanSled Explorer can be rapidly adapted to meet the requirements of both commercial users and defense operators.
