Latvia’s defense ministry has entered into a contract to buy Spike anti-armor missile systems for its armed forces and territorial defense units.
The purchase is worth 81 million euros ($92.6 million) and includes launch platforms, ammunition, and logistics gear.
As part of the agreement, 30 percent of the work will be handled by Latvian companies, aiding local industry.
EuroSpike, a German company co-owned by Rheinmetall, Diehl, and Rafael, will oversee system delivery.
Riga is set to start receiving the systems from 2028 onward.
