The US Navy has successfully carried out an end-to-end flight test of the nation’s first sea-based hypersonic weapon, the Conventional Prompt Strike missile. Held at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, the test marked the first use of the cold-gas launch technique, as opposed to the traditional hot launch method where the missile ignites within the launch cell.
