Northrop Grumman has secured a $24.9-million contract from the US Department of Defense to support a new autonomous undersea sensing R&D initiative. The Full Spectrum Undersea Warfare program seeks to advance the Navy’s ability to autonomously detect underwater threats by developing cutting-edge sonar algorithms and sensor technologies.
