Sweden has entered into an agreement with Teledyne Marine to acquire “Gavia” autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) aimed at strengthening its mine countermeasure operations. Valued at 190 million Swedish kronor ($17 million), the contract runs through 2028 and includes an option for extension. These AUVs will aid the Swedish Navy in seabed mapping and high-resolution sonar imaging for detecting underwater objects.
