Denmark has awarded a contract to Norwegian shipbuilder Maritime Partner to produce seven Sjøbjørn 71 vessels for its Coastal Rescue Service. These vessels will play a key role in supporting the service’s over 600 annual missions, particularly in the Kattegat and Baltic Sea regions. Designated as Danish Rescue Vessels (DRV), they will be deployed from stations in Anholt, Gedser, Grenå, Nexø, Østerby, Rønne, and Skagen to perform salvage, maritime assistance, and emergency response duties.
