Sweden has awarded a contract to MBDA UK for the supply of Meteor radar-guided missiles to equip its JAS 39 Gripen C/D fighter jets. The Meteor system, which has been in service with the Swedish Armed Forces since 2016, is also deployed on Rafale and Eurofighter aircraft. MBDA is expected to deliver the new batch of Beyond Visual Range Air-to-Air Missiles (BVRAAM) later this year.
