To support the timely delivery of Virginia-class submarines, the U.S. Pentagon’s Defense Logistics Agency has contracted six small businesses under a multibillion-dollar deal. The move focuses on fast-tracking weapons system components and services for naval platforms.

Known as the Maritime Acquisition Advancement Contract, this $5-billion IDIQ agreement offers five optional extensions worth $1 billion each, with the total potentially reaching $10 billion. Awardees include SupplyCore, Fairwinds Technologies, ASRC Federal, Culmen International, Atlantic Diving Supply, and S&K Aerospace, all of which are expected to play critical roles in submarine supply chains.
