The French Navy has completed the maiden flight of its Falcon 2000LXS Albatros maritime surveillance and intervention aircraft at Bordeaux-Mérignac airport. This follows the 2020 contract awarded by Paris to Dassault Aviation, a domestic defense manufacturer, for up to 12 aircraft intended to replace the military’s aging Falcon 50 Surmar and Falcon 200 Guardian patrol fleets.
