UAE-based EDGE Group has joined forces with French shipbuilder CMN NAVAL to launch a joint venture, AD NAVAL, for manufacturing naval vessels in Abu Dhabi. The venture will build on existing orders worth €7 billion ($7.5 billion) for small- to mid-sized platforms, including corvettes, patrol boats, interceptors, trimarans, and landing craft. It will also integrate EDGE’s autonomous systems, smart weapons, radar, and cyber technologies into ships destined for non-NATO navies.
