The Philippines has entered into an agreement with French shipbuilder OCEA for the delivery of 40 fast patrol boats (FPBs) to enhance its coast guard capabilities.

The vessels will be based on OCEA’s FPB 110 MK 2 design and will include integrated logistics support and maintenance services as part of the contract.

This new acquisition adds to the five patrol boats previously delivered to the Philippine Coast Guard between 2017 and 2020, including the 84-meter BRP Gabriela Silang, OCEA’s first large offshore patrol vessel built for the nation.
