Skyways, an aerospace firm based in Texas, has landed a $37-million contract from the US Air Force to transition its V3 cargo drone into full-scale production.
The deal involves finalizing the production configuration, increasing manufacturing output, and enhancing the drone’s autonomous capabilities.
This effort is part of a larger initiative to deploy thousands of these drones for logistics missions in both military and commercial settings.
The contract is a key step toward making the V3 a formal Program of Record, potentially securing continued government funding and operational integration.
