Raytheon has been awarded a $536 million contract by the U.S. Navy to deliver continued support and expansion of the SPY-6 radar program, a next-generation sensor platform that enhances situational awareness at sea.

The agreement includes shipboard system installations, engineering support, training, and software improvements designed to optimize the radars’ performance. Work under the deal will continue through 2026.

With the system already operational on two vessels and installations ongoing for three more, the Navy expects SPY-6 radars to be integrated into more than 60 warships over the next 10 years.
