Raytheon Technologies has signed a $646-million deal with the US Navy to supply four more SPY-6(V) radar systems.
With previous contracts included, this increases the total number of radars under procurement to 42, all set for delivery by 2028. SPY-6 radars feature 360-degree monitoring and protection against cruise missiles, aircraft, sea-based threats, and electronic jamming.
Manufacturing takes place at Raytheon’s state-of-the-art Radar Development Facility in Andover, MA—a 30,000-square-foot facility designed for high-efficiency, multi-program radar output.
The production line incorporates automated processes and integrated system testing to streamline delivery and performance validation.
Raytheon also received a separate $536-million order earlier this month for additional SPY-6 units.
