A $1.94 billion arms deal for air defense and radar systems between the US and Taiwan has been cleared by the State Department.
The agreement features NASAMS and both AN/TPS-77 and AN/TPS-78 long-range radar systems.
The transaction is pending the necessary approval from the US Congress.
