The US Department of Defense has awarded a contract to Ukrainian defense firm Skiftech to develop laser-based simulation technology for the Army. The project supports the expansion of the Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS), which use laser transmitters in place of live ammunition for realistic training. Skiftech will collaborate with the Army Contracting Command in Orlando, Florida, with work expected to continue through March 2035.
