Ukraine has entered into a memorandum of understanding with KNDS to collaborate on the local production of medium-caliber ammunition for its armed forces. The deal focuses on manufacturing rounds used in automatic weapon systems to target enemy troops, lightly armored vehicles, and low-flying aircraft. The initiative will be carried out by Ukraine’s state-run defense firm Ukroboronprom in partnership with KNDS Belgium. Ukroboronprom Director General Oleh Hulyak emphasized the importance of growing global ties, stating the collaboration strengthens both Ukraine’s defense capabilities and its integration into NATO’s arms industry.
