The U.S. State Department has approved a $304 million sale of AN/TPS-78 long-range radar systems to Egypt. The request from Cairo includes an undisclosed number of Northrop Grumman radars, along with associated equipment such as KIV-78 cryptographic devices, GPS units equipped with selective availability anti-spoofing modules, and spare and repair parts.
