The US Air Force has teamed up with Parsons Corporation to integrate a directed energy bomb disposal system into the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV). This initiative supports the modernization of the service’s Recovery of Airbase Denied by Ordnance (RADBO) program, which utilizes laser-equipped vehicles to eliminate unexploded ordnance from airfields and other critical zones. As part of the project, Parsons will deliver its Zeus 4 high-energy laser, capable of neutralizing over 50 types of explosive threats, including landmines and general-purpose bombs.
