Turkish marine engineering firm Anadolu Robotik has commenced sea trials of its Arida-M counter-unmanned surface vehicle (USV), signaling the completion of the system’s initial development phase. The autonomous USV was first introduced to prospective clients at a 2024 defense exhibition in Istanbul.

Accompanying the announcement, Anadolu released footage of the Arida-M launching from a dock and operating at high speeds. “We are continuing sea trials with AR?DA-M, Türkiye’s first fully indigenous autonomous USV, and preparing for the demonstration phase of Phase-1,” the Gölcük-based company stated via X.
