In response to escalating tensions with China, the Taiwanese Navy has procured domestically developed exploding drones to enhance its aerial strike capabilities. Known as Loitering Munition 1, the drones were produced by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology (NCSIST) and are currently undergoing final certification tests. Designed for precision attacks, they carry high-explosive warheads capable of neutralizing armored vehicles, enemy personnel, and other high-value targets.
