In a move to bolster its long-range air defense infrastructure, Sweden has selected Lockheed Martin’s TPY-4 phased-array radar system.

Expected to be delivered in 2027, the TPY-4 enhances airspace monitoring and is capable of operating under high-clutter and electronic warfare conditions, ensuring resilient target acquisition.

The radar features advanced scanning elevation up to 90 degrees and supports early warnings for tactical ballistic missile threats, making it a valuable addition to Sweden’s defense network.
