The US State Department has approved a potential $180 million sale of precision-guided munitions to Poland.
The proposed deal includes 1,400 GBU-39/B Small Diameter Bombs (SDB-I) and four GBU-39 (T-1)/B inert training bombs with fuzes, as well as associated tactical training rounds, components, logistics, and support services.
Manufactured by Boeing, the munitions are intended for integration with Poland’s modernized F-16V and F-35A fighter jets, significantly boosting the country’s precision strike capabilities and contributing to NATO’s defense posture on its eastern frontier.
