Rheinmetall has secured a framework follow-on contract worth up to 3.1 billion euros ($3.2 billion) from Germany’s defense procurement agency to supply advanced soldier-systems. Under the agreement, the company will deliver up to 368 Infantry Soldier of the Future – Enhanced System (IdZ-ES) platoon packages by 2030. Each platoon system includes 34 individual kits equipped with IT gear, optics, optronics, protective clothing, and load-bearing equipment—making this the largest soldier-system contract in German military history.
