China is poised to deliver its FC-31 Gyrfalcon jets to the Pakistan Air Force as part of Islamabad’s modernization plans.
The agreement was initially mentioned in 2024, when Pakistan inducted several Chinese aircraft into service. Though specifics remain unclear, earlier estimates placed the number at 30–40 aircraft.
Each jet is anticipated to feature the PL-17 missile system, known for engaging airborne threats from as far as 400 kilometers (249 miles).
